After a couple of years either stuck at home or behind a mask, there’s something you might need to start considering now that Valentine’s Day is around the corner: your breath!

Halitosis / bad breath is one of dating’s cardinal sins. To avoid burning your partner’s eyes from across the dinner table, drink plenty of water throughout the day and chew some minty, sugar-free gum, which stimulates the flow of saliva, neutralizing acids and washing away food particles. Remember, an antimicrobial, non-alcoholic mouthwash couldn’t hurt!

And let’s not forget the fundamentals: regular brushing and flossing are always your number one priority if you want to keep your mouth healthy and your breath fresh. Be sure to focus some attention on the tongue as well with your brush or a scraper in order to remove even more bacteria and food debris.

Have a great, minty-fresh, halitosis-free Valentine’s Day!
